about
Straight out of Studio Fredman (Gothenburg, Sweden) “Black” marks the first official release of “Chase The Pancake” in roughly five years. Being faithful to their own musical formula, “Black” takes it even a step further by adding a touch of gloom and despair which separates it from past productions. A song about manipulation and lust, losing control over yourself and how the heart can be tricked into thinking that it wants what it wants. Sometimes desire is just predestined to end in disaster.
lyrics
Not long ‘til I think we run out of luck
Oh God, you can make me so fucked up
I can feel every single grip of you
Still tight, still holding me tonight
February, our first time in the city
Your eyes they shot me dead
Can’t get you out of my head, oh
Oh darling, you know, you’re the only one on my mind
Pressing all the triggers until I fall blind
Oh honey, you’re the one meant to twist my mind
What the heck, you’re fiery red with your hair darker than black
I can taste every single bit of you
Still sharp, piercing deep into my heart
February, our first time in the city
Your lips, a bloody red
Can’t get you out of my head
Oh darling, you know, you’re the only one on my mind
Pressing all the triggers until I fall blind
Oh honey, you’re the one meant to twist my mind
What the heck, you’re fiery red with your hair darker than black
I swear I saw the darkest black
And I never thought
That the sting of your kiss
With your lips dressed in fire red
Burn me, burn me every time
Burn me, burn me every night
Oh, take my body, take my soul
When I dive into your eyes
An ocean waits as a surprise
Even blacker than the night
So fucked up x2
Oh God, you can make me so fucked up
So fucked up x2
Oh God, baby, you make me so fucked up
